A. Professional Certified
For those who have a Child Care Worker/Child and Youth Worker diploma from a recognized college, or a Child and Youth Care degree from a recognized university.

B. Professional
For those who have either ONE of the following:
- a related diploma or degree and at least 4000 hours employment as a CYW
- a minimum of 600 hours (1 full year, full-time) of theory through post-secondary   schools, workshops, in-service, etc., and 6000 hours employment as a CYW

Full Members must provide:
1.  proof of their education/training (a photocopy of diploma/degree OR a photocopy of transcript clearly stating that diploma/degree was granted) AND
2.  proof employment as a CYW (a short note signed by your employer(s), on their letterhead, stating:
                   (1) the dates of  your employment AND total hours worked (Note:  2000 hours = 1 year) and
                   (2) age and type of clients.
3.  their signature agreeing to adhere to the Code of Ethics

Note: Those with a CCW/CYW diploma or CYC degree are only required to provide proof of education.
To maintain Full Membership, proof of ongoing professional development as specified by the OACYC Board of Directors is also required.

Student Membership - See chart below for fee
For those enrolled in a CYW/CYC diploma/degree program, either as full- or part-time students.
Note: Student Members are expected to sign the Code of Ethics   

Individual Supporter  -  See chart below for fee
For individuals who have an interest in, and want to support CYCs and the OACYC, and are  ineligible for Full Membership, or for Student Membership.

Organizational - See chart below for fee
For agencies, companies, school boards, etc. that want to support the OACYC
